soLow
2016-2019soLow was a durational performance recorded between 2016-2019. In it, I learned how to recite the song “Solo (Reprise)” by André 3000. Singing to my laptop’s camera became a self-soothing practice to manage the isolation and incessant rumination that emerged from complicated grief. By singing in unison with myself, I became the companion I sought from my computer’s eye.
